I have recently been doing some work for NAUSI in Civita and after a couple of days of getting up early and trekking up the bridge to my destination I realized that I sometimes forget to enjoy the beauty of the place that was the catalist of me coming to Italy in the first place over ten years ago. So today as I was making my way up the narrow footbridge I decided to slow down just a bit and enjoy the beautiful autumn morning and as I did I took a few photos of my walk to work. 
The house where I lived as a teaching assistant for the UW Italian Hilltowns programMy destination, the home of Tony Costa Heywood and the late Professor Astra Zarina, the whole reason I ever came to Italy in the first place.

What lovely photos Heather. It is a truly beautiful spot, that bridge is something else to cross but worthwhile to view the Civita.
ReplyDeleteYeah this is where my husband and I met, where we got married and where our daughter was baptised! He is originally from Civita di Bagnoregio so we do lots of things there. (but we don't live there obviously!)
